Chris Reine

Chris entered the industry in 1977 as an offset pressman, when the main form of

typesetting was still with lead. 5 years later he moved into pre-press and

became the lead film assembler for the company. During this time digital

technology was coming of age and he was instrumental in developing several

pre-press digital processes working with companies such as Heidelberg,

Polaroid Films, and Gerber Autoprep. In 1986 when the PC and Mac hit the

industry Chris returned to L.S.U. to continue his education and received

technical certifications in C.N.A. (Certified Novell Administrator), M.C.N.A.

(Microsoft Certified Network Administrator) and CompTIA Security+. He installed

and supported several large networks, supporting both PC and Macs, for digital

pre-press production. As his skill set grew he moved into estimating and job

costing and became the lead estimator for the company. When his company

moved into digital printing with the HP e-Print 1000 he was there to integrate it

into the workflow and support the technology. This quickly moved to a HP Indigo

5000, then a HP Indigo 7500, HP Indigo 10000 and Konica Minolta KM1. Today

he is responsible for all digital operations and is the lead in house engineer for

all equipment.

Experience:

Chris has worked with many worldwide companies to help develop

cutting edge technologies. Recently he worked with HP to help develop their

Level 2 Training course for the Indigo Series 4 presses.

Digital Printing has brought a huge amount of potential for

companies of all sizes. However, there are also a lot of companies trying to

understand the technology. You need a professional who will provide what you

need, but will also make sure that you don't spend needlessly on things that you
